Williams unveil new car livery and Gulf partnership for 2023
Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant look to take the FW45 up the team standings along side new team principal James Vowles. Can they take the Gulf name back to the top?
The third car to break cover for the 2023 formula one season, while this isn't the full new car there is a slightly new livery. Yes slightly new it looks very similar to last year, the Duracell battery air intake makes a come back which we love, and the car is equipped with a few extra sponsors.
The chief umong these and the biggest addition is the Gulf oil logo as Gulf ended its partnership with Mclaren at the end of the 2022 season there has been a bit of hype about the Williams perhaps having the famous Gulf blue and orange colours, much like the classic Martini livery they donned in the mid 2010s.
Matthew Savage the chairman of the board stated "This signifies the strength of our brand and commercial offerings" almost seeming like a bit of a, 'see we can get sponsors, lease someone else sponsor us' if you ask me.
While we weren't treated to a Gulf livery we do think that the car looks great, and of course, in the name of neutrality which we will break, we would love to see this car take them to the mid table.
What do you think, will we see a special Gulf livery at some point this season, perhaps even Monaco?
