Audi is entering formula 1 in 2026, as Saubers deal with Alfa Romeo is up at the end of 2023 Audi has entered the equation.
Audi comes a tad closer to entering F1 after acquiring a minority stake, the purchase arrives 3 months after Sauber announced a strategic collaborations with Audis 2026 entry on to the formula 1 grid.
Sauber said in a statement " This is an important milestone on the way to Audi's entry in Formula 1".
In the interim Ferrari power will still be used at Sauber for 2024 and 2025 before Audi steps in 2026 with their very own engine.
Frederic Vasseur has stated in October that this partnershi9p was the "best option for the future" for the Sauber F1 team and that it is an honour to become Audi's official works team.

Andreas Seidl has replaces Frederic at the helm of Sauber and will see through this transition to Audis full entry.
The goal between now and Audi's full entry must be to return to the top of the mid field before launching maybe a run at a championship when Audi are fully re-entered.
